I was awfully late to the game, but decided I should do my part and make as many hats as I could in the couple days before the march in my city, New Orleans. I ended up just making 5 hats, and gave them all out before the march even began in exchange for $20 donations to Planned Parenthood. I wish I would have thought of the idea sooner because I know I could have collected so much more than $100 for this important organization. But for a couple evening's work, that's still pretty darn good!
Yep, that's me. |
The women's march is over now, but there is so much more work to be done. Join me, and crochet a pussy hat or 3!
I've mostly seen patterns for knitted hats, so this one is for you crocheters. It's a very simple pattern that works up quite quickly and uses a very budget-friendly - and very pink - yarn.
